Insight Connector, a desktop plug-in for the email client, Outlook allows email servers (like Insight Server) to provide the same features that Exchange TM server provides to Outlook. Insight Connector enables all the groupware functions within Outlook(2000-2007).
Use Bynari’s Insight Server, neonInsight, Cyrus IMAP, Courier IMAP, Citadel or Kolab open source Linux email servers, to share Outlook calendars, tasks, and folders without Exchange. Most of the features/functions of Outlook are also supported.
Some of the features include resource management, public folders sharing, appointments/tasks scheduling, voting, grouping, calendar sharing, multiple accounts under one profile and other email groupware features of Outlook. Over 95% of the features/functions of Outlook are supported with the Insight Connector.
