SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Please be sure the latest Microsoft Windows and Office Service Packs have been applied before installing Insight Connector 3.1.1.

• The ability to group emails by different categories (conversation & attachments) will be available in the first patch release 3.1.2.

• On Outlook 2002, Print or Print Preview from the message list may not display the message body. Open the message and Print or use Print Preview instead.

• ExportPST file that migrates from Outlook PST files to the Insight Server has been enhanced.
  • It now migrates from older Connector 3.0 versions with localcache or any other format that Outlook uses.
  • It will also migrate the data to other 3rd IMAP servers. We are adding more enhancements to the tool by adding a lot more error checking.

  • If you are using Outlook 2000 with double byte characters like Hebrew, Chinese, etc, then ExportPST will not migrate the data cleanly because Outlook 2000 does not support Unicode.

• If you are using any anti-virus products with Outlook, like AVG Virus scanner, please turn off email scanning. The scanner will delete the body of new messages. This is permanent data loss. Use the scanner available on your server.

• If you are using McAfee as your anti-virus product, McAfee is seeing Excel.exe as a program trying to send email, something the default configuration does not allow and silently blocks (but does log). To avoid this, add excel.exe as a trusted email sender. (From our Beta tester, Alexander Duncan)

• If you don't have the Account setting set to Remember Password, using 'Send to (mail recipient)' from Excel displays the password box even when Outlook is already open. The messsage does send however if you put in the correct password. (From our Beta tester, Alexander Duncan)

• Under Outlook 2003, Calendar view, "open a shared calendar" icon is not yet supported. Use the current shared method to share calendars with other users.

• The Connector now supports grouping. To enable grouping in Outlook2003, go to View | Arrange By and check "Show in Groups". In Outlook XP (2002), go to View | Current View | Customize Current View and click "Group By...".

KNOWN ISSUES

• For Outlook 2000 users, there is a bug with Outlook 2000 and pop3 accounts. If you would like to use a pop3 account with an IC3 account, add the pop3 account first then the IC3 account. Pop3 will become your default account. If you install IC3 first, pop3 account will not work. This is a Microsoft bug, and they do not support Outlook 2000 anymore and will not fix this bug.
  
• Outlook.exe sometimes does not shut down after Outlook shuts down. We will add the fix for this issue in the next release.
  
• Modified attachments do not get sent when saved in Draft folder, only the original attachments are sent.
  
• Recurring calendar events generate "untitled" when the calendar series is updated and sent.
  
• Attachment icon appears when using stationery.
  
• Task does not work if Rules are set to move the incoming mail to another folder.
  
• To use 'Find All' for messages, go to Advanced Find. (Ctrl+Shift+F)
